What Is This Project

The first attempt to cross Vietnam on a license-free electric scooter.

Edge to Edge 2026 is a real-world experiment — testing whether Vietnam can be explored in a more accessible, decentralized, and sustainable way.

One rider. One scooter. Sub-50 km/h. No license required under Vietnamese law. From the mangroves of Cà Mau to the mountains of Hà Giang.

The route is not fixed.

Unlike the well-trodden Saigon–Hanoi highway corridor, this expedition will detour into places most visitors never see.

The final route will emerge from the road itself — shaped by charging infrastructure, terrain, and discoveries made along the way.

Tourism heat map of Vietnam
Why This Matters

Most visitors see less than half
of what Vietnam offers.

Vietnam is booming. But the tourist trail is remarkably narrow. A handful of cities absorb the vast majority of international visitors. The result: overcrowded hotspots, underdeveloped regions, and missed opportunities for communities with incredible experiences to share.

"After 6,000 km on Vietnam's roads, I can tell you — this country hides more beauty behind its logistics than most countries put on their postcards."
What We Are Testing

Four questions. Zero existing answers.

?

Can Vietnam be realistically explored without a driving license — on legal, accessible transport?

Is the electric mobility infrastructure ready for long-distance travel outside major cities?

🗺️

Which lesser-known regions are actually accessible to independent international travelers?

Can new road trip routes be designed for non-expert riders on low-power vehicles?

What We Will Try To Create

A new layer on Vietnam's travel map.

These discoveries will expand our existing guide to the best places to visit in Vietnam — with destinations no one has covered before.
